Migrate your site to StudioPress and save $99 (ends Feb 27)

Newsletter #126
February 21, 2016

Last month marked the next big evolution of StudioPress, and it was the launch of StudioPress Sites. It’s the ease of an all-in-one website builder like Squarespace or Wix combined with the flexible power of WordPress.

There are no bandwidth surprises or hidden charges that often come with self hosting, but none of the inflexibility that comes with Squarespace or Wix. You can still pick and choose from WordPress plugins that suit your purposes.

For 10 years, StudioPress had already been a provider of ready made designs (themes) for WordPress. These are optimized for internet marketing and trusted by many of the top names in our industry.

In 2010, it became part of Brian Clark’s Copyblogger family, which exposed it to a wider audience and allowed it more development resources. This is Brian:

Who is Brian Clark?

If you’re using any kind of WordPress website in your marketing, it’s likely that StudioPress has a design that suits your needs. Now, with StudioPress Sites, you don’t even need a WordPress site to start with.

What about if you already have a WordPress site? That’s fine, because you can migrate it to the new StudioPress Sites.

Even better, StudioPress is running a limited time promotion until February 27. If you migrate your site using Fantasktic (instructions are included after you sign up with StudioPress), you can use the coupon code MOVE and get a free migration. That’s a saving of $99.

Sign up with StudioPress here, and claim the limited time promotion.

StudioPress and WordPress are two of our recommended products you should consider to produce your internet marketing.

In our full reviews of StudioPress and WordPress, you will find out what they enable you to do and why we recommend them over alternatives such as Squarespace and Wix. You’ll also see what other products work in combination to produce your marketing.

Perry Marshall talks about the 80/20 principle

Perry Marshall is one of the people who have shaped the history of internet marketing.

He is a best selling author who introduced many best practices in Google AdWords and pay-per-click marketing. In his more recent books and information products, he has also taught Facebook marketing and the 80/20 rule as it applies to marketing and sales.

Arel Moodie of The Art of Likability recently interviewed Perry about the 80/20 principle and how it can help your marketing and sales. Here’s where you can listen.

ClickFunnels has a new editor

ClickFunnels is another hosted piece of software that claims to provide everything you need to market, sell and deliver your products online.

The team at ClickFunnels just announced a major redesign to the software. The new editor has a faster and cleaner UI, lets you drag and drop, gives you a mobile preview, has new typography settings and includes 1-click styling themes. Here’s a video that introduces all the new improvements.

YouTube’s unskippable 30-second video ads will end next year

YouTube is the world’s second biggest website and that’s why it’s a great way to distribute your marketing to the masses using video.

When you create a video, you can promote the video on the YouTube ad platform. The best part is that you don’t pay if people choose to skip your ad.

This will be increasingly true from next year, because 30-second ads that users are not able to skip will no longer be supported. Ginny Marvin of Marketing Land comments that YouTube’s focus will be on shorter ads.

OptimizePress is easier to use

OptimizePress is a plugin that allows you to do much more with WordPress. While WordPress is great for the basics, you also need a system to handle your squeeze pages, product pages and memberships. OptimizePress is one of many solutions that handle this.

OptimizePress users will be glad to know that new improvements have been recently made. As David Frosdick announces on the official blog, you can now edit OptimizePress elements within your WordPress posts and pages without having to mess with blocks of code.

Quotation of the Day

“The reaction to our new hosted StudioPress Sites has been phenomenal. An innovative solution that combines the ease of an all-in-one website builder with the flexible power of WordPress seems to be exactly what a lot of people have been waiting for.”
