Newsletter #132
March 14, 2017

Welcome back to the newsletter for another week.

As always, this is your regular update on what’s been happening in the world of internet marketing. These are the things we’ll continue to publish:

The theme of today’s update is live events.

Firstly, the Traffic & Conversion Summit 2017 is a 3 day internet marketing event that just wrapped up the other day in San Diego.

If you weren’t able to make it, there’s no problem, because Matt Douglas has posted all the highlights online here.

Secondly, from April 12–13, there will be a virtual conference called Automated. The theme is marketing automation. It’s being organized by Drip, which is an email marketing product.

This virtual event is free if you register before April 13.

Also, I am going to be hosting our first live event next week. It will be an interactive workshop and the topic will be internet marketing basics.

The workshop will be in Melbourne, Australia on Tuesday, March 21.

It will be my first live event so I’m looking for a small group to test the format.

Here is where you can reserve your free ticket.

P.S. As a thank you, all attendees will also receive free lifetime access to the only complete internet marketing system that sells products and services on your behalf, 24 hours a day.

The system includes everything we cover at the event (but in more depth) and your own private advisor. We normally sell this for $29 but attend this event and you’ll get it free.

Improvements to MailChimp

The most essential form of internet marketing that needs to be part of your strategy no matter what is email marketing. You’re going to need an email service provider that sends out your email and manages your list. There are a number of different ones that you can use, and we discuss these in step 8 of our 10-step system.

MailChimp is one of these email service providers. It’s quite slick, although more expensive than its competitors AWeber and GetResponse.

MailChimp has just rolled out a new feature called Order Notifications, which enables you to send out an automated email every time an order is placed. Maggie of the MailChimp team has the details.

Improvements to Google AdWords

Google AdWords has always been the way to put your offer in front of customers who are searching on Google. It’s one of the internet marketing services that we have reviewed.

While the principle behind this kind of marketing remains the same, the mechanics of Google AdWords have always changed at a lightning pace.

The latest change concerns click-to-call ads. They look different and they will be reported differently. Manas Mittal has the details in the official announcement.

Quotation of the Day

“Traffic & Conversion Summit is a special place where many attendees can exclusively focus on digital marketing strategies and not worry about the distractions of the outside world. But when you leave the breakout sessions, the outside world is waiting for you.”

– Matt Douglas

That’s all for today. Keep an eye out for the next newsletter, and reach out if you need anything.
